Q: how to make my computer quieter? it's kind of old so it makes noise when it runs is there a way to make it quieter with spending a bunch of money
A: You can put a fan speed controller or limiter on your fans. I had the same problem with all of my fans turning over 3200rpms until I put a simple in-line CPU fan speed limiter on my CPU fan that limits it to 2500rpms. This made a world of a difference and my CPU is running at the same temp. as it was and it's far from over heating so I'm gonna try another on my case fan as soon as it comes in the mail. My motherboard chipset is far from overheating as well so I think this should do the trick...You can find lots of computer fan speed controllers and limiters on ebay...
