Q: I have a Presario sr1055cl but whenever i try to put in a blank memorex dvd+r in the disk drive It doesn't detect it. I go to my computer and click on DVD Drive (E:) it says please insert a disk into drive (E:) The drive that i put my disk in says DVD - ROM. I put a regular dvd into the drive and it detects it but just not my blank dvd+R I have tried cleaning the disk drive but no success That is the second brand of DVD+R That i have used please help me. I Just want to knpw if i am using the right type of blank dvds i am going to burn them using nero but my computer doesn't detect them
A: Go to hardware/Device manager and uninstall the IDE controllers. Reboot, and then let windows reinstall them
