Q: I had my dell computer for around 6 years and suddenly the windows genuine popped up saying my window is a counterfeit; however, there's a sticker of the windows product key. And my window xp came with the computer from dell. How can i resolve this? Thanks in advance
A: two reasons 1. its a scam and someone is after your product key for themselves, scan your computer for any unwanted malware 2. someone has your product key, quickly get onto microsoft and prove you are the owner, hopefully you have your windows disc and product key with your untampered E-machine, hopefully they might give you a new product key and disabled the stolen one
