Q: I bought a dell at a university for a $100. It is a p4 2.6 ghz. Probably 5 years old. I have my old computer and was wondering if I could pull out the cdrw from the dell and stick in my lg dvd writer I bought last year. Or will it toast the system.
A: should work if both are IDE connection. best to install on 2nd channel as a master drive for speed
