A: Now you've tried all the other suggestions ... and none of them have worked, do you fancy doing it so that your CD-RW will be recognised? Follow the instructions on the following page, but do it carefully as you'll be editing your system registry and the wrong changes here can make your computer inoperable. What's happened is that there's been a change made to the upper and lower filters which recognises your CD/DVD ROM drives. Although the page says it's for Windows Vista, it does work with Windows XP too.
