Q: Every time I Press Turnoff in the Start-up menu, Turnoff appears in the middle of the Desktop the screen picture turns black,and I have to go all through it again before it comes up with ending programme Help!
A: That could be a couple of things. Short of a long-winded answer, you could try downloading and running Glary Utilities from www.download.com and cleaning up your registry. It's free and is pretty good. I can't definitively say that will fix the problem, but if doesn't move on to the next troubleshooting step, which would be a thorough scan for viruses. I use Avast for that and it is very good. As I said it could be a couple more things as well. The Glary Utilities should find broken links in your registry, which may be causing your problems.
