Q: So my computer is messed up really bad, when you turn it on sometimes the desktop icons will show up, other times it's just my background picture and nothing else, not Even the start menu, we've left it like this thinking the icons will load eventually and they never do. So when the icons do pop up (on rare occasion) you have to click on them really fast or they will disappears (no joke) so I tried to DL a virus protector on it earlier, (because the oter one expiered and I know its a virus doing it) and it all installed correctly, I was playing on the computer and all the sudden it popped up saying it was uninstalling my virus protection, there was nothing I could do, it uninstalled it... So my question is, is there any way I can fix this computer, I dont have a back up disk, and i dont want to spend a bunch of money on one because I have another computer, I just dont want this one to go to waste because its practically brand new... so is there any way I can fix it without spending money... I mean like 20 or 50 is okay but I dont want to put hundreds in it
A: Download and run spybot and superantispyware. If it won't boot, boot in safe mode and try it
