PC won't start up, help!

Q: I installed a program called ImageConverter Plus, from C/Net and I knew this was no spyware because I trust C/NET. I realized that it was a demo version so I uninstalled it and restarted the computer. Before installing I scanned it with NOD32. Now when I start up my PC it just wont start up. The dark screen where the three blue blocks go from left to right, that's what it is stuck on. Why is this?!

A: Hardware failure or a windows system file got corrupted (a driver perhaps?) Just because it has no spyware does not mean that the program is good, or even "safe" for some Windows installations depending on the language you are using, individual system configuration, etc. Try to enter the bios (typically pressing F1, or Delete on startup for most computers). If the corruption is visible there too. Hardware failure.
