Q: Just want to know approximately how much it would cost me to have a computer technician to come in and fix the computer as it wont log on cant turn it off without switching off at power. I'm in sydney's western suburbs (blacktown area) I'm over it now, I have asked 2 previous questions and most were helpful but I can't get it to start up to try and disable some programs. And besides I am not computer savy when its comes to problem. It was working fine until a week or so ago, but my son has been using it to get into facebook. I dont use facebook. I was wondering if this has anything to do with its problems. The only time its used normally is to view emails and hubby plays solitaire I have no choice but to get someone in, Ahhhggg I can't fix it. hey, when i was deleting history I did find a porn site under my son's account. ah huh, I'll have to ask him about that (btw he is 23) Ill give your idea a go tomorrow and see if it works. A: have you tried logging in on safe mode, to log in to safe mode, continuously press f8 during boot up until a menu comes up, sleect safe mode, once there, go to start > msconfig > start up Then disable everything there basically uncheck everything.
