Computer keeps restarting over and over again, what do I do?

Q: Every time that I power on my computer, a black screen comes up with text. It says "We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change may have caused this." After this, there is a list of choices: Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Last Known Good Configuration and Start Windows Normally. Now, if I hit enter on any of the Safe Modes, a bunch of code at the bottom of the screen appears. Then, my computer restarts. If I hit enter on either of the other two, the Windows XP loading logo thing appears, then it restarts again. So, I basically can't get into my computer. HELP! Thanks for your help! I'm now in an Advanced Settings screen. Here's what it looks like: Windows Advanced Options Menu. Please select an option: Safe Mode Safe Mode w/Networking Safe Mode w/Command Prompt Enable Boot Logging Enable VGA Mode Last Known Good Config Directory Service Restore Mode (Windows Domain controllers only) Debugging Mode Disable Automatic Restart or System Failure Start Windows Normally Reboot I'm going to try disable automatic restart and go from there....

A: I think it might have been overheating due to dirt on the CPU between the fan or software bugs.. But you can do one of these.. 1- right click on my computer on the desk, advanced, startup and recovery settings, uncheck automatic start and hit ok button. or 2- scan your computer. some virus and trojan makes your computer restart itself 3- make sure the RAM sticks are properly seated and placed on right spot. check your CPU temps and everything and if nothing works out try re installing windows and see if you still get the same error. 4- uninstall the last programs you installed Good luck
