Is there anyway to totally restart [wipe out everything on] my computer?

Q: I have a Sony Vio desktop, and Windows XP. I know it's possible, but I just don't know how to restart it all together.

A: Yes- it's called reinstalling Windows. If you bought the hard drive yourself- they give you a disc to wipe it, but if you didn't, then just reinstall Windows. The installer will ask if you want to do a clean install (aka wipe everything on the hard drive), say yes. To do that- you'll have to make sure your computer loads from the disc FIRST, not the hard drive
