Processor Help Please !

Q: When people say a 2.4Ghz Dual Core Processor, does it mean that it is 2 x 2.4Ghz single processors or does it mean 2 x 1.2Ghz processors. Same with Quad Core. Also, What is FSB and Cache? What do they do?

A: Hi Will Dual core means just that >>>>. 2 x 2.4 GHz....Hyper-threading technology FSB means front side bus and determines the speed of the computer . The Ram should match it as close as possible. Otherwise, what's the use of having this speed if you don't buy the Ram to push it. Here is a good link to explain this... http://www.directron.com/fsbguide.html
