Q: windows xp sp2 pro what do 32 bit and 64 bit indicate
A: Right click "My Computer" (on Desktop or Start Menu) and click properties. It will say XP Pro sp2 x64 if you have the 64bit XP on there. Else, it is the 32bit. The difference is just how the OS passes data to the processor. Either 32bit at a time or 64bits.... 64bit is more efficient, but really hasn't gone mainstream until just recently. Most Apps are still written to work as 32bit, but more and more take advantage of the 64bit capabilities
