It currently have an AMD x2 6000 . how much would be the difference in performance if the AM2 processor would be inserted in an AM2 mother board, compared to that AM2 processor be inserted in an AM2 motherboard?
A: Quad Phenom will only work if it is supported by your motherboard. Sometimes just a BIOS upgrade could enable support for Phenom. For gaming, the fast clocked X2 6000+ is still a decent performer.
