Q: i would like to connect my 98 se computer to my windows xp computer i tried with a usb lead no dice witch lead or leads should i use i just want copy the files and pictures from the 98 se computer can i do this
A: No i disagree with those that say you need a crossover cable. I have one and have tried. More often than not the two computers will not find each other be able to swap files. This problem is especially bad with two computers with different operating systems I would recommended a usb stick (with 98 drivers) Or maybe an external hard drive depending on the amount of data you wish to transfer. Make sure it does come with 98 drivers though. More and more manufacturers have stopped supplying them.
