is 450 watts enough for?

Q: I am upgrading my amd athlon 64 x2 4000 to the amd athlon x2 6000 and the sales clark told me that it has more power consumption than my previous processor. I got 450 watts, will i be able to use this new processor? I got AMD A690G motherboard ati radeon x1950 pro 512 mb 2gb of memory dont recommend me to buy a bigger PSU, got no funds for it, all i got is for the processor, if i cant run it, i should just leave it for now

A: If your x2 4000 was fine under 450w, then the x2 6000 should be fine as well. Depends on how many hard drives and optical drives you also have, but I think 450w should be plenty.
