Q: my IEEE 1934 doesnt turn up in device manager. so i cant enable it ? ( i dont think u do that anyway) i do have the port at the front, my sisters cam-corder doesnt respond to it, its a sony HDV so its NEW PC is new as well its a vista :( i thought i could enable it in device manager, surpise: its not there :| any suggestions please? is there any analysers that could tell me what make and model it is so i could get drivers for it? thanks
A: What kind of computer is it? Dell, HP, Mom&Pop computer shop? If its a major manufacturer you can go to their website and find the drivers. If not, if its a computer someone built in a small store or by an individual etc it may well not really have firewire at all. Some cases come with firewire ports in the front but if the motherboard installed in it doesn't have firewire or if the cables arent connected it won't work.
