Q: i've already post this before but i'll go more into details. okay so at my work, i work at a bank & we got new computers & so they were getting rid of the old ones & they were only selling the hard drive/pc not the monitors, so i bought one, i had to wait until my supervisor deleted all the files from the hardware. so about 3 days ago i bought a new dell flat screen monitor. So i hooked up everything, the plugs & stuff. When i was done i turned it on and it worked, so i tried fixin' some stuff, then i shut it down then i turned it back on a couple hours and the screen is blank. in the beginning it only shows the dell advertising then it goes blank. you can tell the monitor is still on but its blank. i just need help, im really getting frustrated with it. pleeasse.
A: ok, so is the logo part of the dell monitor or is it part of the system? when the monitor starts up it might display a logo saying that it's from dell, but this might not be from the computer, which means that the bios might be messing up the computer, open up the case and reset the bios, it's hard to explain what it looks like without pics so let me give you a pic, www.teamplayinc.com/Tech/BIOS%20Reset.pdf if that didn't do it, unplug the monitor and try to plug it back in firmly?
