Q: I need to format C: to stabilize it. What do I backup to retain what I have? I was thinking of just copying C: over to D: (separate drive) but something tells me that might be a problem. If I move all to seperate drive format then move back will it be intact? Been a while since I did this. Suggestions? Thanks
A: You only need to backup your personal data, documents,pictures, videos, songs, favorites or emails if you use outlook After format you have to reinstall the operating system so you don't need any system files.
