Q: So I have a Mac, a Macbook specifically. So just a minute ago I was trying to shift my internet page and by mistake I moved an application into the trash. I'm not actually sure of the name of the application ... it's not something I installed - I think it came with the computer. The only way I can describe it is that it was silver in color and kind of a circle shape with what I believe was the "@" symbol on it. It's not showing up in my trash so I don't know how to recover it - or even if it was important. Can someone help me out? well there is no start button - only the apple and things are have different names on Mac computers so that wouldn't work. thanks though.
A: Sounds like one of 3 things : iTunes, Time Machine, or Safari. If any of them aren't in your dock, use spotlight (top right corner) to find them on your hard drive. Dragging the icon to the trash should have just deleted the icon, not the program. If you did accedentally delete Safari or iTunes, just go to apple.com and download it again. If it was Time Machine, I can't help you.
