Power Supply for HP 750n's?

Q: Hello, I have a HP 750n which the power supply went bad. I have visited numerous websites advertising them at which none were even listed. Any help will be greatly appreciated as to where I might find one. Thank you.

A: You mean like this one? http://www.highpowersupply.com/product-ps-sic200m2.htm IF so it's just a regular ATX power supply. I wouldn't buy a 200 watt or 250 watt power supply to replace it. Your computer will only use as many watts as it needs. It won't burn up if it has a larger power supply than it came with. (Had to 'say' this because some people think this!) How to know if the power supply is an ATX form factor one? Look at your power supply. (Computer un-plugged from AC source of electricity.) Open your computer case. Take the four screws out of the back of the power supply, that hold it in. Wiggle the power supply out down, and out far enough that you can see numbers listed. Write down the numbers on the side, or top of it, that you see. See if the numbers coincide with the ones in the above link. (Example: Scroll down three-fourth's the way on this page, and look under the->Hewlett Packard HP Spare PNs: heading. Does it have numbers like, HP 0950-4106 or HP 0950-4107? These are listings for a 200 watt power supply. Yours may be smaller.) There different versions of the ATX power supply. These apply to the power cables, and the components inside. It does not apply to the external dimensions of the power supply case, itself. If you buy a new one, it will more than fit the inherent qualities needed, for a power supply for your computer. It will also have all the necessary power cables. This is my recommendation for a reliable, decent power supply. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2143207&CatId=106 Why? 1.It's a Modular Design. No extra power cables to hang in the way. You don't have to tie up cables that you won't use, because they won't be there. You just plug in the power cables you need into the power supply, and then plug the other end into the needed hardware component. Less cables also=more airflow. Keeps those little computer components cooler! 2.Has a 120MM fan. Turns slower than the 80MM fan in your old one. This equates to more cooling power with less fan speed, and less noise. 3.Reliable manufacturer. I have yet to see a bad review on this power supply do to reliability. If there are any, it's because the buyer didn't do his research. Tried to use this 400 watt power supply where a larger one was needed. (Powerful gamer system) 4.It's has a 400 watt Maximum wattage rating. Your computer will only use the wattage it needs, no more! Surfin' the 'net? About the same wattage as a 100 watt light bulb, or less. Office/Business work? About the same. 5.It's $50 bucks!
