Q: Processor: AMD Athlon 64x2 2.5GHz Memory: 2GB DDR2 800MHz Patriot Video card: Nvidia GeForce 8800GT Motherboard: ASUS 770 ATX Hard Drive: 160GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0GB/Sec Case: CompuCase Black/Silver SECC w/500W Power Supply CD/DVD Drive: LITE-ON SATA 16X DVD Drive and Burner Monitor: 20" Hanns-G 1680x1050 OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit This was all for $776.61. 2GB of Memory, a 2.5GHz Dual-Core Processor, a 20" 1680x1050, and a GeForce 8800GT, for only $776. I'll be able too run all my video games at 1680x1050 on high settings, except for Crysis, which I'll run medium, or 1280x1024.
A: Nice. Stick with the dual. Games aren't quad pumped so the best thing for a gaming rig is the biggest dual you can buy and clock it up, especially with Crysis. Most cpu intensive game Ive ever played. Clock the cpu up 20% and the framerates go up 10%. Like someone said--you may have issues with the PSU. Need 26-28 +12V amps to run an 8800GT. Most PSUs that come with cases are junk.
