Q: Im building a new computer and i recently bought 1Gig DDR stick of RAM i dont want to waste it, on my new computer im getting 2x 1Gig DDR2 Kingston RAM and i was wondering if i can mix the two different RAM sticks together and if so will it affect my system performance and how? Thanks
A: 1.DDR Sdram has 184 contact pins on the bottom, and one locating notch. 2.DDR2 Sdram has 240 contact pins on the bottom, and one locating notch. They physicallywon't interchange. Someone down the road will need this ram. Keep it in a static free environment.
