Q: I have a Sony Ericsson W580i and recently bought a 1G M2 memory stick for it. At first it wasn't working well so i formatted it. Now it is in the slot and averything and it doesn't even show up in the cell phone, it shows me "no files". And when it does show up the music shows as "playback failed" Help Please.
A: have you tried putting it on your computer and see if there are any files on it. also check if it was properly formatted and if there are any errors on your memory stick. You will need a memory card reader to do this unless you have one built in to your computer. You also didnt state which type of memory stick you are using. If it is secure digital media make sure that the copy guard is off.
