Q: Now, assume I can afford the most expensive graphics cards and I want to be able to play games and do professional graphics stuff on my computer. I heard NVidia Quadro's are professional video cards, but they suck for Gaming. Now, if I get something like the GX280 or the ATI 4870 x2, how will the AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop or any Graphics intense run over the NVidia Quadros or the FireGL? Won't the GeForces and the Radeons run the professional graphics software which replaces the need for a Quadro? I made a mistake. How will the AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop or any Graphics intense software run on the Gaming Graphics cards over the NVidia Quadros or the FireGL?
A: Get the ATI 4870 or 4870X2. Either will run CAD and photo applications with ease. I think the GX280 is a Dell PC, not a graphics card, but if you're buying one, see what type of graphics it comes with, or what cards are options.
