Q: can't find any info in the sparse documentation about my pc, what difference does a hihg speed usb port make anyway ? What are its applications?
A: Hi speed USB, or USB 2.0 works at a max data rate of 480Mbps as opposed to the lower speed of about 12Mbps (someone will please correct me if I am slightly out on the figures here). If you connect a USB 2.0 device to a lower speed port with Windows XP you will see an advice bubble open that tells you the device could work faster if connected to a high-speed port. It will ask you to click the bubble for a list of higher speed ports. Hope this helps.
