Q: I had to download the sound card from Dell because I deleted the first one, oops. Now that I have it downloaded my speakers are humming very loudly! Why are they humming, and how long will it do that? Thanks so much! I went to dell.com and clicked on download sound card. It may have said driver, I don't know. A: You downloaded drivers, not a sound card. The sound card is a physical piece of hardware in your computer. My guess is that either your speakers aren't connected properly (or are receiving interference from something), or you downloaded the wrong drivers
