Q: im using windows xp with only 40gb hard disk capacity with partition. my cousin gave me an additional hard disk of 6gb capacity. i used it as my additional hard disk for my (transferred) pictures and music files. do i need to convert to NFTS since it is a FAT system? please advise what am i going to do with my additional hard drive? thanks to all help!!! additional query: i tried already all suggestion, its all right! but there is a litttle problem, everytime i start my windows it will always scan the disk at hard disk G where my music is being copied. its very long to wait until it hang. now i canceled the scan disk. what the problem with this, please help.
A: simply right click on that drive and say format ... and make sure that you have chosen ... NTFS ..as format option ... and ya.. its NTFS .. not NFTS .. lol ... anyways ... in case you don;t know .. NTFS is basically used to enhance security .. so if you don't need "extra" security .. then better you don't play with your HDD .. XP can go with NTFS as well as FAT & FAT32 njoy
