Q: is it possible to have more then 26 hard drives in a computer since it is classified with letters a-z
A: Yes, you can have 152 SCSI hard drives connected to a computer. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/167052 Originally, using Windows NT4, you could only connect 38, but this was increased by a service pack release. Note that the letters are used for all drives on a computer. A & B are reserved for floppy drives and C is designated as the boot drive. Optical drives also have letter designations.
