Best PCI graphics card?

Q: what is the best PCI graphics card on the market now.. NOT PCI-E.. and would a fx 5500 or fx 5200 help my FPS on Counter Strike Source and other games?

A: Having an improvement means that the card you are replacing isn't better then the one you are buying and as newer more powerful integrated chips are being introduced this could be hard to say. Lets face it, PCI is the slowest bus type available and some (not all) but some integrated chipsets support some pretty complex graphics procedures. For example you may actually see a performance drop by replacing a intel GMA 3100 with a PCI type Nvideo 5200, this is because and correct me if I am wrong but the 5200 only supports shader 3.0 and the 3100 that is integrated into intel chipsets supports shader model 4.0 and runs on a faster bus. Generally the performance gain from a dedicated card isn't bus bandwidth but memory bandwidth, assuming you have a dedicated card, your system will not be limited to sharing ram from system resources and this does provide a notable improvement.
