Q: hi all i have a new Dell 1950 U1 Server with 2 Quad Xeon cores each 2.5GHz speed, 4GB Ram and 2 Raid 160GB Hardisk its really fast, but can i use it as a pc ?? can i install windows xp on it ? games ? office ? and other stuff is it recommended and why i simply don't need it anymore as a server, so would love to take advantage from using it as a pc ... thanks all
A: You should be able to do this, I have done it with a PowerEdge 850 and R900. You will have to use the Windows 2000 drivers (download from support.dell.com). You will have to add a sound card (for games).
