Q: I've got a Pentium 4 3.2GHz processor, 2gb of ram and a XFX 8800gs. I tried running F.E.A.R. The game doesn't seem to lag but I only get a max of 18fps and 20 on the lowest settings. Could these numbers be wrong? I've seen benchmarks with the same processor and older cards that are much higher. Got a OCZ 500w PSU
A: It could be that the older card is more powerful, but the newer card has more features, therefore limiting performance. The 8800GS is a lower-end card. It could be bad drivers. Sometimes drivers are everything.
