Q: My computer should be shipped in a few days and i want to know how to best connect everything. I only have one 9800gtx video card, but my motherboard has 3 PCIex slots. I plan on MAYBE running SLI later, but will probably never run Tri-SLI. So i will have 2 or at least 1 free PCIex slot(s). What could I connect to these to increase my performance? I now have (1) 320G drive, (1) 20x dvd burner (1) audigy sound card. I plan on getting 1 more DVDRW and at least one more HDD. Thanks
A: PCI-E slots are only used for graphics cards. One thing to check is the speed of each PCI-E slot. For example you might have 2 running at 16x and 1 at 1x. So make sure you find that out and put the cards in the faster slots. As for the answer above, sound cards are used in PCI slots.
