Q: all of a sudden it won't show up in any burning programs.roxio told me to updateit but i don't know how or where to go. it's a sony cd-rw crx140e 1.0n i don't have the original installation disc either.
A: 1. Download the burner driver from the internet and reinstall it. 2. Open up your computer and make sure the cables to the burner are tightly connected at BOTH ends. That's data AND power. 3. Try replacing the data ribbon cable. 4. All else fails, your burner might simply have died. They fail just like any other piece of hardware.
