Q: I've tried a Line 6 TonePort GX. It died after a year. I tried an M-Audio JamLab connector. It died after a year. Can anyone please recommend a USB or Firewire piece of hardware that will allow me to play and record my electric guitar through my MacBook Pro using Garageband?
A: Presonus makes an amazing product. I have their Fire-Pod and have been using it for over 2 years now without any problems. They have a smaller version of the Fire-Pod called the Fire-Box. You should definitely check it out. http://www.presonus.com/
