Q: I am listing video cards that i am interested in for AutoCAD and Gaming. I realize that the best cards for CAD are the nvidia Quadro, but they are extremely expensive and i'm on a budget. A: Well, CAD/3D design is really a different animal from gaming. Cards for that are designed for AutoCad and Maya, they're designed to finish rendering 3d models in 2 minutes rather than 10, not pump out high framerates in shooters. You're right... for CAD, the expensive Quadro FX cards are what's best. But for general use and gaming, the Radeon 4850 is king of the under-$200 graphics cards.
