Speaker volume too sensitive

Q: I got a great pair of speakers last year but I've been having trouble because the volume knob is very sensitive to the slightest touch. I only have two choices of volume: very soft and loud. There is no "in between" volume setting and it makes it so I can't listen to music without bothering others. Is there a way to make my speaker's volume knob less sensitive so I can turn it up to just the right volume?

A: You may want to try lowering your source volume if possible, such as turning down the volume in Windows or on your iPod or whatever the speakers are plugged into. This should make the speakers less sensitive.
