Q: i have seen many cases.. well it has still not happend with me... in some comps.. pen drives get fully heated up it doesnt work from the next time.. what could be the reason for this.. why does it happen ?
A: Depending on their build quality, various brands of USB drives have different "breaking points". Each USB has a certain amount of Read/Writes it can do before the cells stop working. The cells could stop working due to excess heat or just normal use. Usually USB drives last for between half a year or more dpending on how much and how intensly you use it. You can prolong the life of your USB by copying files off of the USB and into your computer, so that you run them off your computer, and not your USB. Playing a game or watching movies will greatly reduce the life of your USB. Hope that helps
