Q: Which processor is better? Which runs cooler/faster? The Turion has more system bus, 1.3ghz more compared to the Intel, which has 667mhz. But the Intel has 1 gb more of L2 Cache compared to the AMD. Which is the ultimate winner between these 2 processors.
A: To be honest they are pretty equal from a raw power standpoint. The Intel chip will give you less heat and better battery life (but will most likely come with a terrible GMA x3100 integrated graphics) while the AMD will use slightly more juice with a little more heat but will most likely come with a Radeon 3200 IGP which runs circles around the x3100. So the AMD chipset/CPU will give you a more complete system (if you play video games on occasion) and the Intel system will give you more battery life, but do not expect to play any games on it.
