Q: I have them installed already but I dont have them connect I have plenty of IDE cables My motherboardhas two IDE ports I have one hard drive at the momnet and a dvd drive that being said how would I connect them with the IDE cables and what would the jumpers have to be set at?
A: You can put in a SATA controller.. You can put two IDE drive (PATA) per chain. Set the first to PRIMARY and the second to SECONDARY per chain or... put them both to C.S. (Cable Select) and put the one you want primary per chain at the END of the cable. You can add a bunch of extra drive if you have USB2.0. Just get the appropriate IDE to USB converter box.
