Q: I want to switch my regular HD's to ones that run in Raid0 on a eSATA connection. But I do not want to lose all the files and programs when switching over. Is there a way I can mirror my old hard drives onto 2 new hard drives. If I were to somehow accomplish this would all my programs still be installed as well? Thank you very much.
A: This will be difficult if you dont know what you are doing. what you need to do is back up everthing on dvd's or cd's or a mass storage device like a flash drive or i use an ipod. then you would need to re istall windows on your new harddrive because u cant transfer that over. and if you did all that then no your programs will not be installed you will have to reinstall them.
