Q: Hi, I have a Transend 4GB usb flash drive and have outlined the main problems here. http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/5373/newportbeachqj0.jpg It says I have 6 hidden objects, but I don't know what they are. When I right click and go to properties, it says I have 3.8 GB total on one side, the other it says 4GB, why is that? It says I've used 2.5GB on the bottom of the window, but on the properties it says over 3GB used, why? Does anybody know how to solve this? Thanks in advance!
A: That means there are hidden files on your stick. Maybe you copied them from a computer where their attribute was "hidden". Go to My computer, click "Tools" at the top then click on "Folder options" then click "View". Go down the list and select where its written "Show hidden files and folders". Open the stick again and you'll see them. Dont worry about the difference in memory size, even new harddrives come like that. You can buy a 40Gb hddrive only to find that its 38.5 or even 41. Thats just how they are made
