Q: If I pay and ativate an antivirus/antispyware online and have it saved to a usb drive. Will I be able to run it on my laptop to get rid of the virsues on it? My laptop have a lot of message screens popping up and Im not able to get online it keeps bringing the brower back to a blank page and my cd rom is not reading any cd's so I need to find a way to run a antispyware on my latop and clean it. Will this method work? When I run the antispyware would I need to be connected to the internet in order for it ro run? HELP!!!!
A: If the messages and popups are also telling you that you are infected and trying to sell you something then you are looking at reloading your machine. There are manual removal procedures that are long and difficult to implement, and almost never fully remove the offending software. use a windows disk or do your recovery partition(destructive recovery). if you have data you need, you should back it up before you re-install, as you will have to format the drive and all of your data will be gone. I work in a PC repair store and have reloaded 3 machines already today because of similar virus/spyware infections......sorry, but hope this helped!!!
