Q: I have a Toshiba qosmio F45. its now running on 2x1gb RAMs. I am planning on buying 2x2gb of RAM total of 4gb. Does the RAM chips brand matters? and what is the best ones? where to find them? I like things to be original brand to be on the safe side, Is it a good idea to buy them from Toshiba website for almost 100$ per chip? Thanks

Go to newegg.com or tigerdirect.com Kingston Crucial OCZ G-Skill there are lots of great manufacture's that make Ram, and all the above companies offer Life time warranty for there Ram, on newegg.com I bought 4 gigs of lower latency ddr2 667mhz ram for my laptop for $89.99, figure out what ram you have not by brand but by whether or not it's DDR or DDR2 and if it's 667MHZ.
