Q: I have Dell Precision computer with top of the line components that I bought about a year ago. It has 2GB RAM and 1 TB of storage. The RAM for it has really come down in price. Only about $120 to add 2GB of RAM to my existing 2GB. Should I get more RAM? I still run Windows XP.
A: If you are using Windows XP x86, then don't. Since 32-bit only supports something like 3GB RAM, you would have an extra 1GB that can't be used. If you got x64 version of XP then it would be worth it. Bottom line, don't get it unless you have x64 or you absolutely need it.
