Q: I bought an 8GB Memory Stick for my PSP a while back, and I loved it, it had so much more space than the old 1GB. Now, I have an internal Memory Card reader in my computer, so with the old 1GB, I just plugged it inot the slot and put files onto it. Now with my 8GB one, it says I have to format it before I can use it. Nothing wrong with that so I try it. Unfortunatly, when it came to choosing the capacity, it only gave me an option to make it 3.54GB. Since that was only half the actual capacity I left it. BUT, when I connect my PSP to my computer through a USB cable, I can format it to 8GB. I'm not sure why this is happening, it didn't happen with any other card I've ever had. Is it a problem with the card (in which case I'll live with it) or is there somehting I can do? Thank you to anyone who answers. Thanks very much, that makes sense I guess. At least now I can stop worrying about my card...
A: The most probable answer is that your card reader can only recognise a maximum of 4GB. Nothing is wrong with your memory stick. A newer reader would get rid of that problem, butsince you're connecting through the USB for so long, there's no real need anyway. Hope that helps.
