Q: I have a Packard Bell iMedia with an nVidia GeForce 7500LE graphics card and my RAM is DDR2. Can I upgrade to the graphics card shown here? http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/product_info.php?cPath=74_224&products_id=16178 It is PCI-Express and I think mine is just PCI. Can I upgrade? Oh and the page says it's DDR3. Is that a lot of change?
A: Your PC is not PCI, it is PCI express, PCI is gone along with dinosaurs. The page says it is GDDR3 not DDR3 (DDR3 is RAM memory), and this is todays graphic memory standart. As for the question you probably can upgrade, your pc is compatible enough, just make sure of these two things: -You have a decent power supply unit (450W or greater is recommended along with 6 pin connector I think) -You have a fair cpu so you don't run into cpu limitations, making your upgrade useless. Glad I could help.
