gameing situation?

Q: got the 8500gt1gb and 1gb ram on my system.i know i need to get another gb of ram, but wahta else would be good and does the mb or gb on the card matter when buying or is it the sytem ram that matters?. if i get another gig would i have to start buying coolers and what is overclocking all about,,,should i do it?

A: The 8500Gt is not really a gaming graphics card. The amount of memory on the graphics card matters, but not as much as the type of chip on the card. For example the Nvidia 8800 with 256 MB will be faster than the 8500 with 512 MB of ram. For games the graphics card matters the most, but 2 gigs of ram will be much better than 1 gig. If you add ram you dont have to add coolers because coolers are for the processor. However, if you overclock you might want to buy a new cooler to make sure that the processor that you are overclocking is not overheating. You can overclock as long as you make sure that everything stays cool enough.
