Q: i have a windows vista that i bought last october. when i checked my memory now it says PYSICAL MEMORY TOTAL-1790 CATCHED- 1036 FREE- it goes up and down.. should i be worrying alot about my memory? i do lots of downloads...deos that affect my memory alot? (ok not that much..i just download for my ipod)
A: There is nothing wring with your memory you have 2GB of memory witch is good for a vista laptop some is being used by the system FREE - is the amount of memory that is not currently being used this will change. your memory also known as RAM -(Random access memory) is used by the computer as temporary storage for takes that it is currently preforming. your downloads will affect it but thats normal.
