A: The reason it hangs or halts is a software issue. Using multiple programmes (multi-tasking) Windows will halt. Try using as few as possible i.e. don't listen to a music CD when on the Internet or watching you-tube while recording a CD/DVD. With low end systems its best to do only one thing at a time. I myself have and older computer and its slow too.
